Mid-Autumn break is a holiday for the Chinese. They celebrate when the moon is at its brightest and roundest. There were so many people outside with telescopes looking at the full moon on the pedestrian street. To enhance the full moon, they celebrate with moon cake. Haha. Get it? Our driver was gracious enough to give us moon cakes to celebrate with our family. They were delicious.

We are currently living in temporary housing off of a pedestrian street. Like, you go downstairs and through a gate and boom, you’re there. 3 blocks of NO cars, shops, paved roads and kids galore. I absolutely LOVE this street. I love seeing and hearing all the kids play, I love that our boys can use their scooters, I love that there are bakeries, I love that there are barbers, I love that there are grocery marts, I love that there is a family mart, I love that they have an Italian restaurant that sells decent pizza, mainly, I love the convenience of it. But I can’t really fall in love with it because we will be moving in a few weeks. We will only be a 1/2 mile away, but with two kids in tow, a 1/2 mile seems like 5 miles with two boys. So for now, I’m enjoying the hell out of it. Especially Paris Baguette.
Here are some pictures of my favorite street and our current apartment.

Looks like fun!!!
Wow…everything looks beautiful. The moon cake looks incredible and I am sure it was delicious. I am so happy that you can enjoy those beautiful streets. The kids are able to roll their scooters. It is so much fun. I am so happy for you!!
